Overwhelmed!!

Today I decided to go to my storage unit and clean it out. Now I've had this unit for a good 10 years and the last time I've been in it was 5 years ago. It's a sunny day and I thought...Hey! I'm not only going to clean it out but also organize my stuff. Feeling confident and assured that I'd be able to accomplish this task in one day, I unlocked the door and immediately that feeling of confidence was squashed. There I stood, gaping into a 10'x10' dark hole of disaster. Well somewhere along the way, the mile high boxes that were neatly stacked in years past had tumbled over spilling most or all of it's contents. The inside of the whole unit and everything in it, was covered with what seemed to be an inch thick of dirt. My first thought was, I don't know what happened but I just can't believe how much stuff I've accumulated in 10 years. My second thought was, Man! this mess looks even worst strewn all over the floor and this is going to suck. Over the years we've had (occasional but common) earthquakes and 75 mile an hour winds so that explained the mess. I just wanted to go in there and get my boxed art supplies and fabric but instead I found more then a one day project. So with that I closed the door, locked it up and drove away to be done at a time where I have at least one week off. I'll get to it...eventually. I mean com' on, what's another 5 years!!!

Cammy is on Etsy!

Cammy was made from a "myraggedydolls" pattern. I love Julie's patterns and she is one of the many that I buy from time to time. She's only 10 inches tall and like the rest of her sister's that I made (and are listed on Etsy), is the smallest the I've done so far. I just didn't realize how small they were going to be until I made my first one. I know...a mother is not suppose to play favorites but this one is by far one of mine.

Happy Monday!

I'm so excited! I bought wool yarn from my favorite seller a week ago and it just arrived today! I know...I need a life. That's the problem...the yarn that I buy is for making dolls and right now that is part of my life. Boy, I do buy a lot of yarn but I need to have a good supply of it and materials for doing what I do. I hate to run out of things because that just stalls my creativity. I would show a picture of the colorful yarn I got but I just discovered my camera's on the fritz...talk about stalled creativity. Wow! I just realized my poor camera's 8 years old and I'm way over due for a new one. In the mean time, here's a picture of one of my dolls that I did last month. Her name is Martha.
