Craft Room Frenzy!
My place of my creativity. Looks like a mess because it is. Believe it or not, it is an "organized" mess...wink, wink. This is just one area of our spare room that is used for making my dolls. The other half of the room is occupied by my boyfriend Ray, the TV and a treadmill. Ray has a table that he uses to customize his diecast cars. On rare days are we both crafting in the room together. I guess it's because he runs hot and I run cold. I like to have the heater on in that room getting it to a comfortable 75 degrees. He says it feels like 100 degrees in there because his comfort zone is at a cool 62 degrees. Yeah right 62 degrees. To me that's with a wind chill factor of 35 making it 40 below. Either way we find a happy medium and are able to get in there and create (me more so then him). Well, I have to get cracking and crank out more of my dollies. I have a lot of ideas rolling around in my head and I can't wait to get them out and get started.
Give me Something Good to Eat
Trick-or-Treat! and ready to eat whatever goodies comes her way this Halloween season. Armed with pumpkin in hand, Kandi Korn Annie stands a frightening 10". With eyes the same color as her hair, Kandi Korn Annie is wearing a festive Halloween motif print dress with felt pockets, orange rick rack and matching brown button sewn felt collar. Her bloomers matches the hat that she's sporting for her night of ghoulish fun to had by all. A checkered witches hat with a black felt bow and a rusty bell sewn on is appropriate attire for this Halloweener's one scary night of the year.

Here comes the sun!
Here's my green eyed beauty, "Sunshine Annie!"
She was the one of my unfinished dolls in the previous photo waiting to be completed. She didn't take as long as I would have expected and she turned out fabulous as I never would have imagined. I was and still am very pleased on how she turned out that I'm absolutely glowing...like a proud mama.
These 3 little lady's are getting ready to be made up and listed. I ended up buying a new sewing machine because my old work horse of 6 years finally gave up the ghost. My girls are the first that I've sewn on this machine and it drives so smoooth...like butter! As you can see my doll's start off looking like ET. With a lot of work, time and patience put into each and everyone of them, they slowly transform into my beautiful works of art.

Pretty in Pink Annie and her Basket Full of Kittens
Introducing Pretty in Pink Annie. She's my newest creation. It took me a little more time to make her but I think she turned out the way I wanted. She's 19" tall and is hand stitched. This dimpled cutie wears a pink, kitten printed puffy sleeved laced collared dress. Her loons and her bow matches her bodice. Ribbon roses are pinned into each sleeve. She has a full head of Cotton Candy colored wool yarn that's hand sewn into her head. Her body is made of tea-stained muslin and is also dyed and cinnamon scented. Her facial features and legs are embroidered, hand painted and sealed. Her bottom is weighted so she can sit with minimal amount of assistance. Her legs are jointed so you can pose her in any cute position. Her bottom is signed and dated by me. Her basket contains 3 adorable kittens. 2 made of tea-stained and dyed muslin and 1 is made of white fleece. Faces on all 3 are embroidered, painted and sealed. All 3 kitten comes with their own ball of cotton yarn to play with. All sit on top of a chenille lined country heart wooden basket for Annie to carry them in.
She's really precious and can't wait to become a fabulous addition for that prim-doll collector whose wanting to take her home.

SOLD on Etsy!! Good Golly Miss Molly! Now lives in Seoul Korea
I just finished Molly and I think she looks okay. I guess you just don't expect a doll to look the way you want them to look. In the end they end up looking like something totally different then what you had imagined. I did not expect her to look nothing like this. For the most part I do love her body and her outfit. I'm not quite happy with her face...mainly her expression. She has a surprised look about her...like I had after I was done painting her face. I love her all the more!!
Introducing Suzy!...Sold on Etsy! She now lives in Seoul Korea
Another one of my girls that I've recently sewn. She's 18" and a primitive raggedy annie type of doll. Hand sewn and stitched from head to toe. Embroidered and painted face and feet which were sealed to last over time. Body is made from muslin as is most of my dolls are made from. Suzy has a head full of hand dyed prim red colored wool hair that's hand stitched into her head. No glue was used in the making of any of my dolls. She has been scented, signed and dated...like all of the rest of my girls. Pattern is from "Cottonwood Country Artist." She is tooo cute! One of my many favorites.

Overwhelmed!!
Today I decided to go to my storage unit and clean it out. Now I've had this unit for a good 10 years and the last time I've been in it was 5 years ago. It's a sunny day and I thought...Hey! I'm not only going to clean it out but also organize my stuff. Feeling confident and assured that I'd be able to accomplish this task in one day, I unlocked the door and immediately that feeling of confidence was squashed. There I stood, gaping into a 10'x10' dark hole of disaster. Well somewhere along the way, the mile high boxes that were neatly stacked in years past had tumbled over spilling most or all of it's contents. The inside of the whole unit and everything in it, was covered with what seemed to be an inch thick of dirt. My first thought was, I don't know what happened but I just can't believe how much stuff I've accumulated in 10 years. My second thought was, Man! this mess looks even worst strewn all over the floor and this is going to suck. Over the years we've had (occasional but common) earthquakes and 75 mile an hour winds so that explained the mess. I just wanted to go in there and get my boxed art supplies and fabric but instead I found more then a one day project. So with that I closed the door, locked it up and drove away to be done at a time where I have at least one week off. I'll get to it...eventually. I mean com' on, what's another 5 years!!!
